Using Multimodal Modes on Social Networking for Autonomous Learning

Summary: Multimodal modes can enhance the learner’s motivation and higher-order thinking to build automaticity for language development. This presentation shows how multimodal learning can be successful when it is used in online-based learning and social networking. The presenter will also demonstrate online activities and resources to promote an autonomous learning environment.

 

 

SoHee Kim is a PhD student in the Department of English Language Education at Korea University. She has taught College-level English in the USA and South Korea. Her teaching and research interests include the effects of media and technology in teaching and learning English and digital literacy.
